Easy to install and cut.I put this on my basement floor (cement) and it has made a huge difference in the warmth and quiet of the area. (Area rugs are randomly placed on top.) Included carpet tape especially the peremeter and high traffic areas.I would highly recommend this product for a quick and easy floor fix.Ours has been down a month and so far done extrememly well.

First, let me state that the build quality of the mats are excellent.They have an ample amount of padding and the carpet is very soft.

I live in an upper-level condo where all the floors are hardwood.Even though I have rugs everywhere, my downstairs neighbor complained about footstep noise.As carpet would have cost over $1000, I decided to try this product instead.Almost immediately after installing it my neighbor thanked me for 'doing whatever I did' because the noise is gone.

This product is also a big plus for me because I have a dog.If I were to have installed carpet and my dog were to rip part of it up, I would be pretty much out of luck.However, if he were to destroy any of the carpeted tiles, I would only need to replace that one tile.

One side note:Each individual tile comes with 2 side pieces.1 is designed for a corner and the other is designed for an edge.You will find that you have extra corner pieces and not enough edge pieces.In order to rectify this, hold an edge and a corner piece side by side and cut the corner portion off using a pair of scissors.Viola... corner pieces can be converted to edge pieces.... problem solved.

The issue, & the only reason i may not buy more, is the shipping is ridiculously HIGH. I thought, maybe it's really heavy. The box is small and is VERY light. I don't see how it could possibly cost this much to ship. I've had much heavier deliveries for much less money.Not sure if I'll be purchasing more.

(More customer reviews)First off, I messed up my shipping address, and didn't notice until after the item was out for delivery. The seller worked with me to get everything right - very helpful and personable.

Once the mats were at my house, I was very happy with their color and quality. I'm using them as insulation over my cold concrete basement floor, so I can work out down there. They fit the bill so well, I ordered more, so I can cover a larger area (had old carpet down, but these are much better.)

I don't know how well the interlocks would stand up in a super high-traffic area, but for use by a small number of people (as in my house), they are great so far.

I like that each tile comes with two edge pieces, so you can "finish" the edge, whatever the configuration. The ratio of corner-edges to straight-edges is wrong, though - each tile comes with one of each, which means (at least if you put them together in a square) that you have lots of corner edges left over. Still enough straight edges to go around, so I'm not complaining!

(More customer reviews)This mat emits a rubbery/petroleum odor that is intolerable.A bought the mat to use in my house for light weight lifting.After about a day I had to put it outside the smell was so bad.I used a power washer, various chemicals and left it outside for over two weeks.I tried to use it again, but after a week I had to put it back outside.The smell had diminished, but it was still pretty strong.The mat is back outside and is still smelly.If the sun warms it up, the odor intensifies.I am still hanging on to it to see ifI can find an outdoor use for it.I will not bring that thing back in the house.I cannot recommend this product for use inside.

(More customer reviews)Mats work well as my home gym floor, I set up gym in a garage, prior to putting the mats down I epoxy coated the concrete floor and used a product called shark grit make the floor abrasive. This controls movement and shifting of the mats perfectly. The mats will dent with heavy objects but rebound back in a day. The product is good in this aplication but would not be suitable for a high traffic area. They are even colored and thickness. They assemble and lay flat, and clean easy.

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these for my home workshop after bein dissatisfied with the Craftsman/Sports Authority/Big Box store types.The difference is likenight and day.The padded section is much thicker than what you get in stores.You can get even thicker ones.It truly is non-skid.You have to pick it up to move it once it's properly installed.The finish seems much more durable and shop-friendly than the big box store types.Dirt and fluids literally get bruhed off or Shop-Vaced up.I stand for hours on end, so having a good mat is important.Liked it enough that I ordered a custom 4' x 6' piece for a different section of my garage.

Given the price of these tiles verses other options you are better off buying something else (based on $ per square foot). If you only need 12 square feet at a semi-reasonable price then this may suffice. The only plus so far is that they seem to stay connected better than the 2x2 squares.

Once fitted together, nothing could take these babies apart except unzipping. The foam is dense, strong and the shapes fit together very tightly to keep together despite a weighty individual trying to jump around.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a set of 24 and 48 Interlocking Gray Foam Exercise Gym Flooring.Install was beyond simple.Before purchasing I had read reviews and the 2 things I was concerned about was the bending up of the edges and the thickness/slipperiness of the mats.Both I've been relieved to see the construction is excellent.Edges with clean edges stay down, and though the puzzled part when you attach to other puzzle part would be raised but nope flat no raised edges.Love it.And the thickness on my cement floor is really perfect for the aerobic and weight lifting I do.My feet do tend to slip a bit if I'm doing stretching or yoga but I just dampen my feet/shoes and resolves the problem.
Really like the product, it works great and it does exactly what I was hoping it would.If ever need more squares I will definitely get these.

(More customer reviews)These mats fit together easily and make a nice large surface.The price is definitely better than anything I saw in my local stores.However, these mats don't work so well as an exercise surface.I am doing P90X and was looking for a mat that would give me nice support and stable base, but this mat travels across my floor constantly, so I have to stop to move it back into place.In a 60 minute workout, I need to stop 5-10 times to re-adjust the mat.It also is a bit slippery for doing push ups.My feet are sliding quite a bit.

This mat would work well for a baby's room or living area with a hard floor looking to protect a young one, but not so much as an exercise mat.
