(More customer reviews)The bed frame does not have locks to secure the legs into place.The frame is weak metal.The mattress was not bad.It would have been better if it had tags to secure it to the frame.The mattress was narrower than a twin size but was adequate size.However .... my son slept on this for three days and the frame bent in two places.My son weighs about 160 lbs and the bed claims to hold a person over 300 lbs.Don't believe it.
Amazon agreed to take the bed back but that's where the true problems began.The box was damaged in shipping to me ... perhaps the reason for the damage - who knows?I can't return this without a box.Getting a box and shipping this large item was so difficult.Amazon initially required that I use the post office to return the bed.The post office doesn't sell boxes this size so I went to a shipping store.They, too, did not have a large enough box.I called Amazon who told me to have the bed wrapped in cardboard and go back to the post office.Post office would not accept it.I take the bed back home and call Amazon again.Amazon says - OK, use UPS and we'll pay for the shipping back.I take the bed to UPS.They have a box and are willing to ship this back BUT they will not accept the Amazon label and I have to fork out over $100.The bed cost me $123.Even though Amazon agreed to pay, this is ridiculous.So I take the bed back home again.I call Amazon and speak to another rep who says they will drop ship a box to me and then have UPS pick up.But, she says the box will have to be delivered to an alternative address.I call again ....getting the idea....?Horrible experience.Literally - no exaggeration, after 3 hours and 17 minutes on the phone with Amazon, I speak to a rep who agrees to give me the credit and the bed can be destroyed.Great..... but you guessed it.One day later I get an email that Amazon will send UPS to pick up the bed....which is already in the dumpster.I purchase a lot of items from Amazon on a regular basis.The experience until this purchase was superb.This experience was horrible.The bed was terrible quality and the return service was worse.

(More customer reviews)These beds are exactally what we are looking for.I love the four legs, which make them stable on sloped ground.My husband and I are both over 6 foot tall.The width of these allow plenty of room to move around without hitting the frame.The pad is very comfortable, and looks to be very durable.I like the metal spring system, which will be durable for many years to come and the springs can be replaced with in need be unlike material based cots.If the material rips, your are in trouble.I used beds like these years ago, and then went to the inflatable matresses. The air beds make you hot and don't always hold the air. I'm so glad to be back in cots.These provide under the bed storage( we camp with a lot of gear, 3 children and two dogs) and all our gear and dogs fit well underneath. I do wish they were a little taller, maybe 3 or 4 inches. The are a little heavy, but for the comfort and design, it's a fair trade.I would recommend these to anyone who wants a superior night sleep while "roughing it".Just one more note, we will be using these when our hunting party comes in too!!!!!

(More customer reviews)I love these beds. They are functional and you have no problems getting to sleep on them.
1. Very Sturdy.
2. If you need to move the beds the legs fold up and you can carry them like a folding table.
3. A complete idiot can put these together. I am not mechanically inclined and usually end up confused with directions on how to assemble things. I had these up in minutes.
4. You are getting two beds and the mattresses in the package. If you want to stack them, the adaptors are sold separately.
5. I had no problem using normal twin sized fitted sheets on the mattresses.
6. If the person using the bed is heavier and needs more padding on the mattress, an egg crate works well.

Blantex XB-6 Extra Wide Heavy Duty Steel Folding Cot Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this cot mainly to provide an extra bed so when I toss and turn with insomnia I won't keep my bed partner awake, too.It also provides an extra bed for guests from time to time.I've slept on it nearly a dozen times and I've had one guest use it so far.The cot earned four stars because it has a few minor negatives and a bunch or positives.

The cot is a great deal.The price is reasonable and the cot so sturdy I expect it will provide many years of trouble free use.The mattress pad stores on the underside of the cot, so when you set it up you have to pull it out from under the cot and put it on top.This can be pretty annoying, especially if this is the fourth night in a row I've set up the thing.Despite this I easily set the cot up in under a minute, so really no big deal.I expect to find that since the mattress is folded inside the cot when you fold the cot in half for storage, the mattress will last longer because it is protected from catching on stuff when you move it.When I sleep on this cot I have plenty of room to roll over and get comfortable.It feels sturdy under me (as it should since it holds upto 400 pounds) and I don't worry that it will fold up or collapse under me. When I move around during the night it is fairly quiet, about on par with my regular bed.Even though I use this mainly as an extra bed when I have insomnia, I have fallen asleep on it every time I've used it.It is indeed comfortable.Sometimes the mattress pad seems a bit thin to me, but only after sleeping on it for a few nights in a row, so I'll probably buy a foam mattress topper or something to put on top of it eventually.The guest who slept on it for two nights said it was comfortable and quiet. Although a twin sheet doesn't fit right, it is easy to fold the excess sheet under the mattress pad so it mostly stays put during the night.Occasionally a spring comes unhooked from the frame when I haul around the folded up cot, but it is easy (and requires little strength) to just hook it back on.I store the cot in my basement and have to carry it upstairs if I want to set it up in my dining room (where I usually use it).It is light so it is not hard to lift, but is still kind of big folded up, so I sometimes have to reposition my hold on it to get it upstairs.

Overall, a nice cot for the price.I would be very surprised if a better one could be found in this price range.
