(More customer reviews)This serves the purpose. I put it over top of the mats in classes. In New York City the yoga classes are very populated. It is good to have your own mat. My nice thick mat is just too heavy to lug around especially when I have groceries or other things plus a yoga mat to carry up and down subway stairs etc..
This mat is light and serves the purpose. It curls up at the end a bit when it is unfurled,but I just put it a yoga block or towel on the end. Now I leave my thick mat at home and take this nice light one on the go.
The price is right and it serves the purpose well. I wouldn't use it without a carpet, rug, grass or other mat under it though. You would need more cushioning for the knees.
