(More customer reviews)My son is six and crazy about space, and he really liked the idea of this.The problem is that this is not a sleeping BAG, but sleeping MAT.This is really for toddlers, not a tall six year old.
I thought I was buying the Astronaut Sleeping Bag, made by the same company (Widknin) and looking very much the same.My mistake.The sleeping MAT is padded on the bottom, has an attached pillow, and an attached blanket that folds over.In short, great for a toddler.I personally do not like that the blanket it attached, yet does not close on the bottom or other side, but it does keep it all together.For my money, though, I would rather have a real sleeping bag that they can snuggle into.We might sew the bottom and side to make it a bag.
As for construction, it seems fine.The fabric feels a bit too artificial for my taste; I guess in the name of flammability and easy of cleaning.I cannot fault it, but you need to be aware of what you are buying.Delivery was timely and well packaged.
Again, my son loves it even as it is clearly not for him.He's taller than the mat, so his feet hang out the end.He's nearly as wide as the mat, so the attached blanket does not stay on him.Sadly, he really wants to make it work and we really wanted to return it.We will buy the sleeping BAG and see if he moves to it (I suspect he will).Our toddler will then get this.
So, be aware that this is for toddlers and is NOT the sleeping BAG.
