Hank Haney Fairway/Rough Practice Mat Review

(More customer reviews)The mat is a good idea, and works well enough in the short term.However, its durability is miserable.I used it for a week, after which the leading edge of the rough segment had separated from the rubber base.I was also able to literally put a slice into the rubber mat, thus losing a square inch of "rough grass".Incidentally, I'm not a heavy hitter.If there's a more durable product out there, I'd go with that.

(More customer reviews)This is a simulated grass mat with markers at the 3 foot, 5 foot and 7 foot distances. What this training aid encourages acceleration through your putting stroke to improve your consistency with shorter putts.

This aid is easy to set up - it just rolls out. You need to keep the box to keep it protected since the foam ramp is relatively fragile. Unfortunately, no training video accompanies this.If you are comfortable with the mechanics and use of this trainer, I find it useful to turn the mat over and putting without the line guides.This is a great training to help with improving your confidence with shorter putts.I have been able to make more short putts on a consistent basis, than I did before using it.

With the lines for a guide, it sets up better for a pendulum swing, rather than the Arc Swing, led by Stan Utley.

If you have trouble with short putts, this aid will help you.

(More customer reviews)Although it is very cheap, this mat is very very thin, made with really poor materials. A few shots and the base rubber starts to crack, then fall of the mat. If you want a golf mat just spend a little more money and buy something better. Something that will last for sometime this will be torn in less than a month I can guarantee.

the base started coming away almost immediately, so the mat wears from the bottom
not from the top, I'm a 3 handicapper and certainly do not 'hack' my golf shots.
this mat will not last more than a few weeks of constant use, even if rotated
as the makers suggest!!!
I would recommend that if your interested in a durable driving range mat, then
spend the extra cash and buy a commercial grade one, which is what I should have done.

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately, the product features advertised on Amazon are not accurate.It states that there are two rubber tees included, when if fact only one is included.Similar products have two rubber tees of different height, and I thought I was going to get that with this product.Not the case.Also, the two green levels are quite small, 7 3/4" x 9" each, so make sure your contact is precise....not a lot of green to work with.That being said, the quality seems very good.
