(More customer reviews)After my first practice, I found this mat to be quite slippery.However, I decided to give it a chance and, after a while, I found that the initial slipperiness was likely due to some sort of residue from the manufacturing process, which from what I understand is normal.I would suggest that you lightly wash the mat prior to using it to remove this slippery film.This mat is heavy-duty (it's a big mat so if you are a petite person keep this in mind), environmentally friendly, provides good wrist support, and well proportioned.Though the mat is not as slippery as it was during my first use, by no means is this mat slip proof.Overall I would say it's a good mat - 4 out of 5 stars (ignore the rating above).
