(More customer reviews)It is exactly like one of those rubbery foam mouse pads, except giant. It makes a nice surface for working on things. But the spongy material has a tendency to trap oil, but the top is somewhat oil resistant. And I assume certain solvents will dissolve the foam, so I am careful not to use my cleaners around it.
I'm not a big fan of black for keeping track of tiny little pins and springs, because they are usually a dark gunmetal color. The exploded diagram is handy and saves bench space.
I may get a second just to use as an impressive mouse pad.
