(More customer reviews)I love that this mat is good for the environment and even though it says it is biodegradable it is not falling apart or losing its bounce.
And because it has the closed cell technology even on cold winter days the temperature from the studio floor does not reach me.
It is nice to have a product that not only cares about us as consumers but also for the process in which it is made and for the after effect it has on the earth.

Our YogaAccessories™ 5mm Eco-Conscious Yoga Mat is completely non-toxic, biodegradable, recyclable, and contains no latex, PVC, or rubber. During the production of the mat, no toxic materials are used and waste is minimized and recycled back into the production process. The mat is made from a newly patented material composed of carbon and hydrogen called TPE (Thermal Plastic Elastomer), which is a closed-cell foam that gives excellent support while preventing water absorption allowing for easy cleaning. The mats are textured on each side, have fantastic traction, and are non-slip.This is the perfect choice for those who might have an allergic reaction to natural rubber yet still desire an eco-friendly yoga mat.The mats are available in 5mm and 8mm thicknesses. The 5mm is just a little thinner than our extra thick 1/4" mat, while the 8mm is considerably thicker. For comparison, note that a true 1/4" mat is 6.2mm thick.
